Pulsic creates new senior roles to reflect significant growth

Kevin Steptoe Joins as VP of Marketing and Business Development
European Team Strengthened by Appointment of Industry Veterans

Bristol, England – May 3rd, 2005 – Pulsic Limited, the EDA company that delivers shape-based, IC physical design solutions for analog, mixed-signal and custom digital designs, has boosted its marketing and applications teams with three key international appointments. The move signals further significant expansion for Pulsic, following the opening of new offices in Silicon Valley last month.

Global Role
Kevin Steptoe joins Pulsic as vice president of marketing and business development. Kevin was most recently with Magma Design Automation as vice president of product engineering and, prior to this role, he held senior management positions at Avant and Cadence Design Automation. He has 20 years of experience in EDA, has held UK Government advisory posts and has published widely.

European Team Expands
Keith Sabine, named as applications director, Europe, is a veteran EDA professional with 15 years of experience in application engineering and management. Keith joins from In2Fab Technology, where he was technical director. Prior to this position he was European technical manager for Simplex Solutions, joining the company from Cadence Design Systems in 1998. Keith has supported a wide range of tools for analogue, digital and mixed-signal IC design and, before joining Cadence, he worked in IC design at Plessey, BP and Fairchild. He has a PhD in semiconductor physics.

Richard Pearce has been appointed as applications engineer and he has over 10 years. worth of IC design and layout experience at leading European semiconductor companies, including STMicroelectronics, Infineon and Philips; giving him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by today.s IC layout teams.
