Pulsic Opens New Headquarters for U.S. Territory

Appointment of New Team Signals Commitment to US Market

Bristol, England and Santa Clara, California, USA – March 4, 2005 – Pulsic Limited, the EDA company that delivers shape-based, IC physical design solutions for analog, mixed-signal and custom digital designs, today announced the opening of new US headquarters in Santa Clara, California. The new team will be headed up by Kirti Parmar, applications director for North America and he will be joined by Lee Williams, applications engineer, from the Pulsic office in the UK. Kirti is an industry veteran with some 17 years’ worth of management experience, gained while working for Cadence Design Systems, Magma Design Automation and Monterrey Design Systems.

Pulsic has already achieved significant success in the US through an exclusive distribution partner, Icthus Solutions. Customers in the region include OnSemi (see press release dated January 18, 2005:

http://www.pulsic.com/press/180105.html). Further customers worldwide include Hynix, Sony, Renesas and NEC.

Ken Roberts, chief executive officer at Pulsic, said, “This investment confirms our commitment to our customers and to the crucially important US market. Pulsic has ambitious growth plans and our new team is well placed to accelerate our success.

Kirti Parmar was most recently with Monterey Design Systems, where he was director of application engineering, managing a team of field applications engineers. Previously he was with Magma Design Automation as director of product engineering and with Cadence Design Systems. His career has given him a strong background in engineering, marketing and management with key strengths in building teams and customer relationships.

Lee Williams has worked as a software engineer at Pulsic for three years, supporting customers and evaluations. Previously he had graduated with a high class degree in computer engineering and had worked at Pulsic in research and development.

Icthus Solutions is Pulsic’s exclusive distribution partner in the US. The company is run by Dave Noble, previously chief operating officer at Rhetorical Systems and president of Spider Software (both UK companies). Dave was responsible for establishing sales and support teams in the US for these two companies and he has a strong understanding of the need to take a long term approach to the market. “We have had a fantastic response to Pulsic’s technology, particularly in our target segments – the memory, mixed signal and full custom IC markets. The opening of the US office will allow us to grow the customer base quickly and significantly.”
