National Accounts Sales Manager

Company Background:

Pulsic is a young and innovative company that develops, markets and sells EDA software to the world’s largest and most ubiquitous semiconductor companies across the globe.

Pulsic’s physical design platform, Unity, is used for the design and layout of ICs in the custom design market, the most demanding segment of the EDA software industry.

Pulsic wishes to recruit an energetic and highly motivated National Accounts Sales Manager to enable Pulsic to maintain its growth in its target markets. You may be based in the western half of the U.S., but preferably in the bay area of northern California.

The role presents an opportunity for the right person to build and grow a successful sales channel by adding to Pulsic’s growing list of major semiconductor company customers who use Pulsic’s technology for physical design of their ICs.

Position Summary:

The National Account Sales Manager is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of the sale from prospecting to close. You will be build and maintain relationships with key personnel in prospective customer organizations.

The ideal candidate may currently be running or working in a major or global accounts team, with experience of multi-year, multi-million dollar sales. This is a ‘hands on’ role, but for someone who wants to take the lead role in establishing and growing a team that drives new business sales in large accounts, it is an excellent opportunity.

You will bring with you a proven track record of major account management, and of licensing solutions based software and services to global brand name semiconductor companies in the memory, communications, microprocessor and other custom design market segments.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience of Sales in the software industry, preferably in EDA, with experience of managing or working in a national accounts or major accounts team at an EDA vendor
  • Demonstrable track record of consistency in exceeding sales targets
  • Good understanding of the EDA ecosystem and the semiconductor market
  • Proven experience of working in or managing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver bundles of products and services to customers that meet long term needs
  • Proven strategic thinker with excellent planning skills and the capability to build relationships with customers, decision makers and ‘naysayers’ with an NIH mindset
  • High level of ambition with ability to balance risk taking with good business acumen
  • Must be able to thrive under pressure, and enjoy a fast paced, constantly fluctuating environment with deadline-driven goals
  • Good technical acumen with ability to translate technical advantages to a business benefit
